Northstar was founded in 2002 to produce quality vehicle detection products for the access control, parking and traffic control industries. With over 40 years of combined experience in the vehicle detection marketplace, the Northstar team supplies the most innovative and highest quality products available. These products are used throughout North America, are finding application in Europe, and also the Middle East. Northstar manufactures inductive loop vehicle detectors for both the access control and traffic control markets. In addition, Northstar produces specialised products for incident detection and warning as well as the tolling industry.
Northstar & Idris Technology:
- The N224-I Loop Detector was designed in close co-operation with Diamond Consulting Services (DCS). The N224-I features a proprietary high speed data channel which is used by Idris for automatic vehicle detection and classification technology. When connected to either standard rectangular or patented axle sensing loops the N224-I provides detection signature data to the Idris algorithms resulting in the highest classification accuracy available today.
