New York conjures thoughts of tall skyscrapers and even longer traffic queues. So, it's not really surprising this years ITS World Congress is to be held there.
From 16-20th November, the Jacob K. Jarvits convention center is playing host to the most cutting edge traffic technology and innovations our industry has to offer from around the world.
After the success of London's World Congress and more recently Intertraffic, Idris, in support of its ITPs, will not only be exhibiting in New York but also delivering a presentation. Bob Lees and Mike Payne will present a paper on the Idris Incident Detection System. This application has been developed to provide an accurate and economical solution to incident detection both in tunnels and on open highways. One such system is currently undergoing trials on the M42, UK.
