Idris around the world
Australian TESS Solutions, a digital automated monitoring and enforcement company, have combined Idris technology with their Digital Capture Unit. TESS' product lines are based around two core products, the Digital Capture Unit and RFID Number Plate. The open architecture means the core products can be configured for any ITS solution, enforcement application or integrated into existing programs. Integrating Idris software into the TESS detector provides the Digital Capture Unit with first class detection capability, reliability and accuracy.
Utilising the capabilities of Idris advanced algorithms, TESS have also generated different classifications for a variety of vehicle classes. Not only do these provide road authorities with the capability to enforce different speed limits for the different classes, but also provide a valuable and highly accurate insight into road usage and vehicle speed by class, as part of traffic logging analysis. These statistics provide road authorities with powerful information about road usage trends, and represent an integrated approach to traffic enforcement and monitoring solutions. Rigorous research and development has ensured the technology remains as accurate and efficient as possible, whatever the conditions.
With both front and rear of vehicle triggering options, validated and proven detection and speed accuracy, the TESS/Idris combination can be applied to any automated detection and enforcement environment. TESS is now finalising the integration of the TESS RFID Number Plate, the TESS/Idris-based detector and the TESS Digital Capture Unit to cater for more advanced ITS applications.
