DCS welcome another new ITP this month in the form of Telvent. Telvent has offered complete Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) solutions and services for over a decade. Key to its success in the ETC sector is its offer of off-the shelf hardware and open-source technology. Telvent already uses Idris technology in cities such as Austin, Texas but the new arrangement will allow both companies to bring their respective expertises to bear in new geographical areas.
“We are very excited about the numerous opportunities which exist for us to use Idris technology not only in the US but also throughout Spain and the rest of Europe,” says Telvent’s chairman and CEO, Manuel Sanchez.
“We already have Idris deployed in tolling sites and we expect the levels of deployment to increase significantly in the coming year.”
