DCS's Royal Appointment

On the 14th July, the DCS team, instead of joining industry colleagues at the IBTTA ORT meeting in Dallas, will be heading to London for a rather special event. Bob & Teri have been invited to Buckingham Palace where they will be presented with DCS's Queens Award for Enterprise – Innovation 2008 by Her Majesty the Queen. This is a great honour for everyone involved with the company and Idris. The day is set to be highly memorable, even for those not attending the Palace reception. While Bob shakes hands with the Queen, the rest of the DCS team are being treated to a unique trip around London on a WW2 amphibious DUKWs which was used to take troops ashore for the D-Day landings - and 'yes, before you ask' Idris could classify it!

The days celebrations will be concluded with champagne and fine dining. Those attending the IBTTA meeting will also have the opportunity to raise a glass with DCS at the opening ORT reception! We encourage you to attend to find out how!

 The Queen

What is 'The Queen's Award for Enterprise - Innovation 2008'
The To win a Queen's Award for Enterprise is a significant, prestigious endorsement of British business achievement. Wining a second worldwide acclaimed Queen's Award within 3 years recognises DCS's accomplishment, continued innovation and outstanding contribution to the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) industry. As a research and development company, DCS needed to evolve Idris into a product range which offered road operators functionality, accuracy and flexibility for the improvement of todays transportation corridors. The teams dedication to evolving the technology to help improve our roads through safer incident and vehicle detection applications demonstrates why they so richly deserve the Queen's Award.
