DCS, owners and developers of the award wining Idris® technology have been presented with one of the UK’s most prestigious awards:The Queens Award for Enterprise and International Trade 2006. Presented annually, this year's awards were especially significant as they coincided with the celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s 80th Birthday.
To win a Queen’s Award for Enterprise is a prestigious endorsement of businessachievement. The awards are given solely on merit and the competition is fierce. DCS can be justifiably proud of their research & development success in the field of vehicle detection and classification. Proving they are industry leaders, DCS, has built a significant export business through their Idris software technology. This Queen’s Award, with worldwide acclaim, recognises the accomplishment of DCS and its ITP’s for their export achievement and outstanding performance in international trade. Bob & Andy Lees together with Teri England were invited to Buckingham Palace to a special celebratory reception at which they were presented to both The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.
