8th Annual E-470 Transport Safety Foundation Golf Tournament

Promoting safety on the roads is of paramount importance to all those connected with the transportation industry. One of the many organisations pro-active in this area is E-470 Public Highway Authority. Their involvement has taken the shape of The E-470 Transportation Safety Foundation (TSF).
The TSF was formed in 2001 and is a non-profit organisation which raises money for highway safety programs throughout the E-470 corridor in Denver, Colorado.

8th Year of the E-470 TSF Golf Tournament
One of the many unique ways the TSF raise money is through an annual golf tournament. On the 15th August 2008, the TSF will be holding their 8th annual golf tournament at Red Hawk Ridge golf course, Colorado. The tournament is a great opportunity for all members of the transportation industry to get together, socialise, play golf and raise money for a cause which makes a positive impact on road safety. Idris is a proud sponsor of the tournament and support continues again this year with the annual sponsorship of a drinks cart – always a popular aspect on course! As well as sponsorship presence, the Idris team are sending a couple of representatives along! Our two budding golf pros are Managing Director Bob Lees and Business Developer Mike Payne. We hold out little hope their golf is as accurate as Idris!
Last year over 128 golfers participated in the event and raised more than $15,000 for the E-470 TSF. These funds go to help support and run programs such as child safety seat inspections, Alive at 25, seat belt safety, driver education, and defensive driving courses. In July 2009 the tournament will be run in conjunction with IBTTA's organisation management workshop and will benefit both E-470's TSF and IBTTA's leadership academy.
